Well, I do know the English language and you should have used a semi-colon. But, that's not my point. It pisses me off when people criticize artists for doing something different. As an artist, I take serious offense to people thinking hey know an artist better than an artist knows herself.

Did you ever think that maybe she has simply changed? Would you want to never progress or do anything differently for the rest of your life? Maybe she wants to dress sexy. Maybe she is succumbing to pressure but the truth is you and many other bloggers have no idea why she makes her decisions and this was the article that set me off.

But, seriously, use a grammar check before you post and if you don't want criticism don't leave comment space.

"By the way, Chuck D is Public Enemy and NWA is Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren, and Eazy-E. Ice-T was not in NWA." --- DJ SoulVOX

Hi DJ SoulVOX:
I think if anyone has to proof read, it got to be you. Do you understand English grammar ? I know all about NWA members back in the day, and I did not say Ice-T was a member. I separated the names with "comma"; that is why I say Dre's NWA. Because in my opinion, Doctor Dre appeared to be, the “coolest cat” among the group, calling the shot.
That is the same reason I separated ‘Chuck D’ from the Public Enemy – giving respect to whom it is due. U heard!!

As for Martin Luther King and Malcolm, I don't care what you personally think of Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton. The issue here is civil rights and that is their cause.

Lastly Alicia Keys was reportedly said it in her own word that she read books about Black Panthers. That why the name came up. My point is that Alicia Keys should just be herself and do what she is been doing without trying be somebody else.

Oh yeah, and how can you put Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton in the same list as Martin Luther King and Malcolm X. Jesse Jackson fights very hard but he backs anything black rather than actually looking for what's right. He probably still thinks OJ is innocent. Al Sharpton goes on TV and acts like he's a leader of the black community but all he really does is a big fat nothing. Like when he backed the angry mob that beat a rabbi to death in Crown Heights whom was rushing to help a little black boy hit accidently hit with his car.

There's nothing wrong with dressing sexy. There is a line that doesn't need to be crossed and I've never seen a photo of her that could be described as erotic. The bigger difference is the subtext of the photos. Her photos are sexy, cute and beautiful, not erotic. As for the politics, there's a long tradition of musicians being political leaders in the eyes of the youth. How about Chuck D, Bob Dylan, or even back to Mammie Smith from the 20s. That's how politics reaches the youth. It's almost their job to make us care. The word conspiracy does not mean paranoia, it does occur. No the FBI didn't give them ammo to shoot each other but they weren't trying very hard to stop it. In fact, they stopped investigating Biggie's murder because there was evidence leading toward a dirty cop and they didn't want the bad press. That's a conspiracy. The gangster rap conspiracy isn't by the government but it is from the record labels to help keep black men scary looking to white people and more suburban white kids buy gangster rap than actual gangsters. By the way, Chuck D is Public Enemy and NWA is Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren, and Eazy-E. Ice-T was not in NWA. Her conspiracy theory may be a little out there but there's nothing wrong with her expressing publicly her political views and if you've ever seen an actual Black Panther, they are far, far, far more extreme than her and next time you blog you should proof read.
